Happy Birthday America!

We had  a fun and full Fourth of July!
Ellie and Lola our Star Spangled Cuties!

We headed up to Uncle Drew and Auntie Sara's for a day of swimming, parade watching, hot dog eating, and firework gazing. Lola and Ellie loved their Patriotic Pinwheels.

SWIMMING!

The girls have officially turned into fish, they are happiest in any body of water.

THE PARADE!

The Rancho Bernardo Fourth of July parade was only a short walk from Drew and Sara's house. The girls were very excited- they didn't quite know what to expect from a parade but they knew it would be fun!

To the girls' amazement 'Fireman Sam' started off the parade and even gave them a fireman badge.

Our mayor even made an appearance...

Now if this car wasn't made for Poppi I don't know what car would be!

Back home and after naps (even for mommy) we enjoyed  some traditional Fourth of July food- grilled dogs, corn on the cob, potato salad, and much more!

Off to the park to enjoy the firework show!
