New Bike

Katherine has seriously outgrown the bike she got when she was 5.  As in she has to ride hunched over with her knees nearly to her chin.  Usually we wait until a major holiday to buy something as big as a bike, but Christmas and Kate's birthday are six months away.  And summer is the time for bikes.  Besides, Steve had a 20% off coupon for a sporting goods store.  So he and Katherine spent part of the 4th of July bike shopping.

And today Kate got to actually ride her new bike.

It seems so BIG, although it fits her perfectly.  And it has hand breaks and gears - a true grown-up bike.

But Katherine rides it well.

And is she ever pleased!
