The Olympic torch made its way through Guildford yesterday and we were there to see it pass by. Mr and Mrs H were fantastic hosts and opened their house to their friends and family to have some of the best views of the torch procession. The weather was fantastic (at last) and a fabulous evening was had by all.

And finally, there was also the unique chance to see (and hold) an actual Olympic gold medal. Mrs H's father won Olympic gold in 1936 for the 4x400m relay.
