Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree

The smell of Christmas trees just bring a smile to my face. So no we didn't go to the mountains to cut down a tree and give the girls the whole experience on their first Christmas.... but we did the next best thing.... took a trip down to the local Target garden center!
The girls didn't know what too look at the first, the tree, Christmas Garden decorations, or all the red poinsettias.

We met Uncle Drew, Aunt Sara, and "Emma" at Target to help get their tree too.. This is the tree that the girls helped their grandma pick out. They will be excited to see it all decorated, since the girls wont see a big decorated tree this in their own house this year...
With the girls being so mobile these days, a tree would just be too tough and too scary. I was scared of them pulling it over or choking on pine needles. This little Christmas Tree will be Lola and Ellie's first and it greets us as at our front door every day!
So don't laugh... this is our inside Christmas tree this year. We decorated a house plant with lights and our favorite ornaments. Practical and safe for having two 9 months olds! Call me chicken, but I thought this would allow us to relax a bit more this season.
Did you notice some additions to our mantel this year?

So cute... our mantel is now complete!
