Most of the fabrics I use for my dollclothing are directly from the last weaving mills of the upperaustrian Mühlviertel. The upper Mühlviertel at the southern end of the Bohemian Forest has represented an important centre of the linen industry for centuries and is a well-known centre of textile handicraft. The Weberstraße (“weaver street”) is a beautiful rural region where one can find the last local weaving mills producing traditional linnen and cotton fabrics.
