Snow...ummm...Ice Day

We are having a Snow Day today.  Actually, the maybe half-inch of snow is not a problem but the layer of ice underneath is.  Oh and the windchill at 6 AM was -1.  So we were happy to stay home from school.  After the early morning no school phone calls, Steve and I went back to bed to doze and the girls watched their fill of cartoons.  Then Steve took the girls to the doughnut shop.  (It's not THAT bad out!)  Then it was time for painting.

Of course, a fight broke out just after the pictures so that was the end of painting.  The afternoon plans include making pumpkin bread (Steve and Kate) and chicken and noodles (Joy).  I'm  sure there will be more fighting, too.  By tomorrow we'll all be ready to go back to school!
