Quiet Day

For the first time in almost two weeks we had a cool day.  Okay, it was 92, but compared to 102 it felt great.  The girls and I took advantage of the cooler temperatures and took a walk in the woods.
Then we spent an hour and a half at the park.  We've just hung out at home, reading, napping, and playing games.  It's been nice.

Steve decided to take a picture of the girls with Maggie this morning and discovered just how hard it is to get two kids and a dog to look in the same direction at the same time!

We attempted the kids and dog picture again this evening, with the addition of Mom to hold the dog.  The results are a little better - you can at least see Maggie.

Maggie has changed in the 10 days we've had her. She has learned to walk on a leash and to play fetch.  She's doing well with the whole house breaking idea.  She's still learning not to jump on everyone she meets and to not chew on anything in her line of sight.  She knows her name and she know that we are her people.  That's a good start.
