So how did we mark the first day of summer? Kate and I took Rachel to the dentist (where she allowed her teeth to be cleaned without being sedated!!). Then we went to the marvelous children's garden at the botanical gardens. What fun!
1st Day of Summer
Katherine's last day of school was Friday. Mine was yesterday. Rachel finished preschool this morning. Steve is done tomorrow. So, summer has officially been declared! We have a long summer break this year - 100 days! And on this, the first day of summer, those days are full of promise, each a new possibility.
So how did we mark the first day of summer? Kate and I took Rachel to the dentist (where she allowed her teeth to be cleaned without being sedated!!). Then we went to the marvelous children's garden at the botanical gardens. What fun!
