After our morning in Chicago's Chinatown, we headed for Shedd Aquarium.
It was such an interesting place!
There were even penguins, Granny's favorites!
And the girls had a chance to dress up as penguins and waddle through a play area.
By the time we had seen all the aquarium exhibits, it was late afternoon. We climbed on a bus to head back to the hotel and Miss Rachel promptly fell asleep. I carried her 37 pounds of dead weight off the bus, up and down 3 flights of stairs, and on to two different trains during rush hour and she never once opened her eyes! I wish I could sleep that deeply...
We were all pretty much worn out that evening. Steve and I opted to just take the girls to a nearby McDonalds for supper. But even that turned into an adventure! As we stood in line, I realized that I could hear conversations in Polish, Spanish, and Pakistani, but we were the only family there speaking English. Not something that happens at home!
