Kyneton Show 2012 Craft and Cuddles

I love a country show, the sounds, the sights, the smells. A part of my childhood to revisit.  We were very fortunate to visit the Kyneton Show the year that the Macedon Ranges Shire had sponsored a free kids zone, it made the day amazingly affordable ($25 for a family) and there was an incredible amount to do. The children were so busy they didn't even want to go on the rides, the sound of food and ride hawkers didn't have the desired effect of luring them in. Our kids hate a cacophony. They soon wanted to return to the peace of craft and animals.

Magical recycled flowers that spin in the wind, wide eyed owls swooping, rainbow serpents with slippery smooth scales, gorgeous face painting by a talented artist, soft new ducks to cuddle, woolly backs to pat - leaving the scent of lanolin on our hands, a flying fox, a wedge tailed eagle with downy soft feathers and fierce talons, a saltwater crocodile, and that was just the morning.....more tomorrow.
