Thanksgiving Break!

I had last week of work due to Thanksgiving Break! It was a much needed week off. We spent some time with friends, prepped for Thanksgiving dinner, caught up on projects, but most of all spent some much needed family time together.

Baking
The girls and I kicked of the week off by making treats for the upcoming Thanksgiving dinner party. Inspired by pintrest of course, we made acorns out of nut-a-butters and Hershery kisses to decorate our Thanksgiving table. They were so focused and did such a great job- and they were super yummy, definitely a recipe we will have to repeat.

Play Date
We got to spend some time with our friends  Declan and Lexi at Open Gym followed by lunch at Hot Dog on a Stick. It was great day to catch up and let the kids run wild. Lola and Ellie absolutly love Open Gym.

Slumber Party
We had to fit a slumber party in the break somewhere. It is amazing, the girls really understand when I am off work and what it means for them. Once I came home on Friday announcing I didn't have to work for 10 days, they started begging us to plan a slumber party. Why not right? We're always up for family fun! I am not sure if they love having daddy in the couch to cuddle with or jumping on their misplaced mattresses better, but either way they sure do have fun.

PIZZA...and salad!
Hot cocoa and movie to end the night ... doesn't get much better than that!

Sleep Tight!
Cousin time!
We surprised Aiden and Liam on Saturday morning... showing up in our PJ with breakfast in hand. It was a nice surprise for the kids and the cousins got to share their stories about how and when their "Christmas Elf" made it to their home.

Sunday at the Farmer's Market
I love when we can take the time on Sundays to walk to the Farmer's Market after church. The girls love to dance to the music, watch the people, get their favorite lemonade, and I love to buy relatively inexpensive organic produce all the while soaking up the sun (yes in November).
I just love this picture, rarely do the girls pick the same outfit these days and they did today, they look like little twin Christmas Elfs- kinda.

Haddie is BACK!
If you asked the girls I am sure they would say the arrival of Haddie, our Christmas elf, was the best part of the break. They were beyond excited when they woke up the day after Thanksgiving to find Haddie hanging out in our house, ready to report to Santa all that the girls say and do!
Let the Christmas season begin!
