Playdates and Painting

Earlier this week we met our friend Amy and her daughter Ella at Santee lakes Splash Grounds. This place made me wish I was a kid again. It was too bad that the girls wouldn't go in full force, they would stick their foot in and then just stand by and watch all the other kids have fun!

...but they did love feeding the ducks at the lake

and of course they loved the Swings!

In-between our play dates we managed to do some much needed touch-up painting in our master bath. Lola was great at painting on the primer... she was having a ball!

On a different day we last week we met Tony's friend and his son Bryce, for an afternoon of shell hunting, sandcastle building, splashing in the bay, and chasing seagull at Fanuel Park.

(yes they are not in their suits, mom came a bit un-prepared...the morning was much too cold to get in the water but it warmed up a bit and there was nothing stopping the girls)

We are in store for even more fun next week...

Tony and I are attempting our first camping trip together with the girls...just the four of us. We are excited about the trip. It is actually the first vacation that just our family of four have taken together. I am sure we are up for some adventures but it will be fun, we will keep all posted!
