Mid-Summer Week of fun!

Last Sunday the four of us headed out to catch a Padre game.
The girls loved it... well most of all, they loved the cotton candy and singing at the seventh inning stretch! The Padres won the game and the day was a memorable one for us too!
Daddy and his little Padre fans (these are the outfits they chose for the game)

Cotton Candy...Yum!

The "Park in the park" what a bonus for kids when they get bored of the baseball game. It's a win, win Dad still gets to catch the plays on the big screen and the kiddo get to play at the park!

Daddy even has a footprint at Petco Park...Lola is pointing to our brick
(my gift to Tony for our very first anniversary)

La Jolla Shores with Bailey!
Later in the week we met Bay and Kathleen for a day of sand crab catching, wave jumping, and sand castle building.

Swimming with Janene!
My friend Janene is 8 months pregnant and graciously hosted us at her house for a day of swimming and fun! Thanks Janene! The girls loves seeing the nursery that was set up for her little boy... they also found her stash of swim caps and had some fun.

Charger game!
At the end of the week. Tony and I got to spend an evening together rooting on those Chargers. Yes, it was just a pre-season game but it was nice to tailgate with friends and see the Chargers on the field... even if the start of football season is a marker that summer coming to an end.

The end to swim lessons
This week marked the end of swim lessons. The girls absolutely loved the swim lessons. They have gained so much confidence in the water and are on the road to independent swimming. They continue to ask when they are going to swimming lessons again... we will have to look into swim options during the school year.

Somehow between all these fun  activities we managed to fit in Vacation Bible School this week as well (post to come)...
